Get $77 Drain Special This Friday
March 15, 1972 – May 30, 2020
Donate on GoFundMe I’m John Akhoian, owner of Rooter Hero Plumbing. On May 30th of this year we lost one of our own. I want to thank you for visiting Stephanie’s page. As you may have heard on our commercial, Stephanie was my first executive assistant, that was 19-years ago. She left for a short time to pursue a family and to chase her dream of becoming an elementary school teacher. Because of who she was…she accomplished both of her goals. Stephanie came back to work with us in the call center about 3-years ago. In April she got really sick. As fate would have it, Stephanie’s husband was also fighting the virus as was his father. Albert, her husband was the only survivor. I would like to share two of my favorite passages, not from the bible, but from poet, John Donne. In his Holy Sonnets, he writes,
Death, be not proud, though some have called thee
Mighty and dreadful, for thou art not so;
Thou art slave to fate, chance, kings, and desperate men,
One short sleep past, we wake eternally
And death shall be no more; Death, thou shalt die.
(Sonnet abridged)

And in another more famous passage when he, himself is dying he recalls hearing a church bell in the distance. In this passage he reminds us not to wait for others to answer the bell. The bell he says is calling for us. (small edited excerpt of Meditation XVII, by John Donne.)
Any man's death diminishes me, because I am involved in mankind, and therefore never send to know for whom the bells tolls; it tolls for thee.

Thank you for visiting Stephanie’s page. May she look down upon your family with favor and love. John Akhoian
