The first fix would be to see that the power switch is actually on, next check that it is plugged in, if both are done and there is still no life, check that the door is shut well. Now if that does not fix the problem, look for the reset button and reset it. The next possibility is that the circuit breaker has been tripped. Turn the fuse switch off and then on again. Or you can replace the fuse. If all these still fail to get the washer started, call the appliance support team, the problem is beyond your ability.
If the water is unable to stop flowing automatically, there is a problem with the float switch. If the switch is not working then you may need to replace it. It is important that you know how a washing machine works to be able to do this.
If instead of draining the machine is spewing dirty water, there is possibly a clog sometimes this is caused by a newly installed garbage disposal that is not working well. Go back to the instructions for installation of garbage disposals and see what you may have connected wrongly. It could also be caused by clogging in the drain hose. Open the air gap and use a stiff wire to clear out the passage.
If you experience water sipping out at the base of the washer, the problem may be caused by the amount of detergent you are using. Reduce the amount of detergent and that should help. If the detergent is not the problem, check if you may be overloading the machine. Or the dishes may be loaded badly which is preventing the door from closing properly. You can also check if the washer is on leveled ground, if it is tilted, water leaking can occur. Also, check if the hose may be faulty.
While you may try to fix problems that occur, it is best to prevent them altogether. Here are some tips to prevent problems from occurring.
It is also important to observe safety as you attempt to fix a fault. Before touching any internal or electrical parts, ensure the machine is off from the main switch and at times you need to wait some time if it has just been running. Read your instruction manual before you try to fix any problems or discuss with our plumbing experts today!
